Hurrican Mesa Desert Tortoise Surveys

Assisted with a Mojave desert tortoise survey on the US Air-Force Hurrican Mesa Test Site

Under Logan Simpson, I assisted alongside a certified Desert Tortoise Biologist to survey the US Air-Force Hurrican Mesa Test Site in Hurrican, UT for a salvage project for Parsons, Inc. To complete the environmental consultation for Parsons, Inc to start there salvage project for the Air-force test site, the desert tortoise biologist and myself conducted a pre-construction desert tortoise survey to determine the presence of the Endangered Species Act Listed-Threatened tortoise species. In addition, after the multi-day survey I assisted with drafting the biological determination document for Parsons, Inc.
