Preformed five Biological Evaluation for roadway and utility line projects for the Navajo Department of Transportation and the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority in Coconino, Najavo, and Apache Counties, AZ and McKinley County, NM.

Under Logan Simpson, conducted five biological evaluation for roadway and utility line infrastructure project for the Navajo Department of Transportation and the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority in Coconino, Navajo, and Apache Counties, AZ and in McKinley, NM. These projects included performing biological survey along a 14-mile roadway within both the Navajo Nation and the Hopi Reservation, within a 7.1 mile utility corridor, 15.1 mile fiber-optic utility line along a major wash corridor, and a 5 miles utility line corridor. Myself and a fellow biologist conducted both a wildlife and plant survey to identify Navajo Nation sensitive species and focused on identifying potential raptor nests, burrowing owls, prairie dog towns, and sensitive species within the survey areas. Afterwards, I drafted the Biological Evaluations and submitted the findings to the clients and the Navajo Fish and Wildlife for final approval.
